When thinking about my Sequence and also looking at other Horror films, they all show a similar target audience. The target Audience that these films focus on is between the ages of Teens of the age of 15 and onwards, i believe the film watched would be decided on what the person choosing a film would like. In this case for a Horror i believe an older age would be preferred to films likes this as the Horrific scenes of blood and head turning moments would be to much for the younger group of 14 years and younger. Films such as all of the Saw films, Scream, Jaws are all meant to make you scared, or feel it is horrific and this is one of the main aims of a horror film.
When Analysing my film and the target audience i believe mine to be quite bloody, but not head turning for the audience. I have rated it as a 18 because i feel that the story within the Film is very hard hitting and will have scenes filled with violence, squeamish, and lots of blood. On the other hand i believe my sequence could appeal to the Older teenagers as it has characters of the same age appearing in it....
Without a target audience i believe that the film could not be successful as if you have not got a audience aimed for it then you can not guarantee a big group will enjoy it..
